What we’re seeing in Sacramento should concern every Californian. Legislative failures in Sacramento are affecting all of us here in District 40.
Policies like SB 54 laid the groundwork for turning California into the super-sanctuary state that we are today. A state where criminal illegal immigrants are shielded from federal law enforcement, and where democrats choose ideology over public safety. Unfortunately our communities are now living with the consequences.
This is no longer a hypothetical debate. Here in San Diego County, an illegal immigrant with a documented history of drunk driving killed an eight-year-old girl in a violent, alcohol-related crash. In Escondido, an eleven-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run by an illegal who had been previously DEPORTED FOUR TIMES! Law enforcement requested cooperation with federal authorities, but Sacramento’s sanctuary laws forced their hands.
THIS CAN NO LONGER BE IGNORED.
These were preventable tragedies. Instead of empowering law enforcement to remove dangerous criminals from our streets, Sacramento politicians tied their hands and put families at risk.
This lack of accountability is exactly what is missing in Sacramento. Leadership means enforcing the law, respecting victims, and putting public safety first.
I will not accept a system where repeat offenders are protected while innocent children pay the price. I am running for State Senate to restore common sense, support law enforcement, and end policies that put ideology ahead of life.
California deserves better. The first step is winning this campaign.
I need your support. I need you in this fight with me. Together, we will restore accountability and put our communities first.
