Over the holidays, U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez issued a monumental ruling in a case Mirabell v. Olson, with this ruling, schools can no longer HIDE a child’s gender transition during school from their parents.
I was proud to lead the effort to suspend enforcement of this TERRIBLE state policy in Lakeside School District in 2024 and petition the court to join the lawsuit. Teachers should not be FORCED to lie to parents. With this ruling parents will no longer be kept in the dark and we can put a stop to school-sponsored deception once and for all.
But the fight isn’t over yet! Every school district can take action to eliminate these policies by passing the Parents Bill of Rights!
Every day, Sacramento politicians are working overtime to undermine parents’ rights and pass more policies to keep parents from having a voice. I’ll continue to fight back.
